Prepares and serves food for patients, cafeteria and special functions. Performs functions of cashier and dish room attendant. Transports food carts to patient floors and returns them to dish room for cleaning. Responsible for washing, soaking and sorting all patient and employee food service ware, stocking kitchen, cafeteria, dining areas, and dish room with food and non-food items; cleaning and maintaining of the food service areas including the dining room areas. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Demonstrates knowledge of the principals of growth and development over the life span. Demonstrates interventions appropriate to the age of the patients.
High school graduate or equivalent.
